|
Vaqar has been working on the different aspects of quantitative
modelling since 2001. He worked as an economist with the World Bank,
ministries of finance, planning and commerce in Pakistan and Teagasc,
Ireland. His PhD research was on applying the CGE-microsimulation
methodology for taxation and trade reform analysis. He teaches Public
economics and Environmental Modelling at the National University of
Ireland, Galway. He is working with RERC towards developing an
inter-regional computable general equilibrium model for Ireland.
